One chilly night, Jiminy Cricket stumbled upon a cozy cottage owned by Geppetto the woodcarver. Kindly old Geppetto wished that his new puppet, Pinocchio, would come to life. The Blue Fairy granted his wish and appointed Jiminy as Pinocchio's conscience! In gallant attempts to teach Pinocchio right from wrong, Jiminy followed him from adventure to adventure -- on the stage, on Pleasure Island, even into the mouth of Monstro the Whale. With Jiminy by his side, Pinocchio finally proved himself worthy of becoming a real boy. Disney's classic Pinocchio was released in 1940.
